Suni e.V. creates opportunities for international exchange between people from Namibia and Germany, helping them to learn from each other, break down prejudices and discover new ideas together. To this end, we arrange study trips to Namibia and Germany and have developed an efficient exchange structure for educators.
Since 2017, Suni e.V., together with the Light for the Children Foundation, has been organising an exchange programme for German and Namibian educators. The programme facilitates targeted methodological exchange between professionals from both countries
Shared learning in the field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is at the centre of the programme. In both countries, participants receive comprehensive and high-quality training in the area of ESD.
For this purpose, the two partner organisations collaborate with additional experts, including the Namib Desert Environmental Education Trust, the Trier University, the German-African Youth Office, and the Directorate of Education of the Omaheke Region.
In addition, the exchange programme is supported by the Development Policy Network of Rhineland-Palatinate (Entwicklungspolitisches Landesnetzwerk Rheinland-Pfalz e.V.), the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate, Sparkasse Trier, and the Catholic Fund.
