Sustainability has different dimensions, one of them being social sustainability. “Keeping Peace and Reducing Inequalities” is part of the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
The ESD-day of the German state Rhineland-Palatinate at Rheinböllen in Germany gave teachers and educators from schools in Germany a chance to get in touch with NGOs working in the field of ESD.
„It is important for German students to learn about the German-Namibian colonial time. It helps strengthening the relationships between both countries. It helps them to learn about humanity and to keep peace.”, says Elizabeth Kashango from Suni e.V.
Together with Theopolina Jeremia, Barbara Scharfbillig and Claudia Wagner she participated at the ESD-Day to promote lessons about Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
The four Suni e.V. members held two workshops and presented Suni e.V.s learning modules on issues such as the German-Namibian colonial time.
